Why a website is just like Broadway.

Imagine you’re going to see a Broadway play. You step out of the limo in your finest - after all this is a big deal. You’ve heard the hype for months and are dying to see the show. You find your seats, the lights go down and the curtain rises.

What’s behind the curtain?
A stammering idiot. The first player stumbles over his lines and you’re crushed. Turns out the play has been thrown together and the lack of planning is glaringly obvious.

A play is a big deal. Everything has to be covered; set design, script writing, costume design, casting, rehearsals, lighting, props, timing, and a whole lot of other things we probably don’t know about. It’s just like a website.

Huh?
A website needs structural navigation, visual design, copy writing that sells, automated email system, e-commerce, and possibly a pile of other fancy do-dads. If anything is under-planned, guess what you’ll look like?

Nobody wants to be the stammering idiot.
Your website needs to be a tightly run ship. A well-oiled machine. Most importantly, it needs a relentless marketing engine to keep it driving forward, all the way to the sale. That is, after all ultimately why we do this.

Let’s do lunch.
